Pat Shelton, Client Advocate

Pat Shelton has been employed with the Public Defender’s Office for over 30 years.  Prior to working in the Social Services division, she worked as an Intake Specialist, Court Runner, and Legal Assistant.  In June of 2014, Pat graduated summa cum laude from Bethel University with her degree in Criminal Justice.  In September 2016, she received her M.A. and joined the Public Defender Social Services Team. In 2020, Pat became the Client Services and Mitigation Team Leader, strengthening the role of social services and mitigation for clients needing community resources and strategic case support. Her continued work at the Public Defender’s office represents the culmination of her education, experience, and heartfelt desire to work with justice-involved individuals.
