Patrick Hakes

I defend Nashville because everyone deserves a chance to be heard. I love telling people's stories and making sure everyone is viewed as a person rather than a number.

Meet the Defenders

Patrick Hakes grew up in Central Illinois.  After trying his hand as a musician for years, he went to Bradley University and majored in social work.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded social work student of the year.

After graduating college, he went to law school at Case Western Reserve University.  There he interned at the cook county public defenders office in Chicago.  In his last year he clerked at the northern district of Ohio federal defenders office.  He graduated Cum Laude.

Patrick has been with the Nashville Defenders since 2011.  He enjoys recording and writing music, his church, spending time with his wife, and his job.
