Meet the DefendersCheryl Bruce serves as a legal assistant to Division II attorneys within the Nashville Defenders.
Prior to joining the Nashville Defenders, she worked for the Federal Public Defender’s Office as a paralegal/senior legal assistant, retiring in 2014 after 20 years of service. Following that, she worked for two years in the private sector but realized she missed criminal defense work, which led her to her work here.
In 2007, she completed her B.S. in paralegal studies from Kaplan University.
Cheryl spends her free time gardening and hanging out with her family, friends and three furbabies.
