Katelyn Dorwart, Attorney

I defend Nashville because all people are born equal, but that equality is stripped away by society.

Meet the Defenders

Katelyn graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 with a B.A. in Philosophy;  Minors in History, Political Science, and the Classics; and a certificate in Medieval Renaissance Studies.  She continued to attend the University of Pittsburgh for law school. During law school, Katelyn devoted half of my time to criminal defense and the other half to helping disabled children in the Health Law Clinic. She received the Deans Scholarship, Public Interest Scholarship, Pro Bono Leadership Award for over 150 pro bono hours, and the Community Service Award. Katelyn has completed work for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and completed a summer internship at the Nashville Public Defenders. The internship at the office not only solidified her interest in public service and criminal defense, but her love for Nashville.
