Casey Elliott, Attorney

“I defend Nashville because a fair trial shouldn’t be reserved to the wealthy and the white.”

Meet the Defenders

Casey Elliott was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2013, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Political Science. Casey earned her JD at University of Tennessee College of Law. During her time there she clerked at the Shelby County Public Defender as well as the Nashville Federal Defender’s office. She enjoyed working in the Advocacy Clinic and Clemency Clinic. Her favorite part of law school was when President Obama commuted the life sentence of one of her clients.

Casey worked in corporate America for two years before joining the Nashville Defenders in 2018, getting back to doing what she loves. In her free time she enjoys running and trying fun, new Nashville restaurants.
