Hannah Lefton – Attorney

Hannah Lefton was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia, where she majored in International Affairs and Political Science. Upon graduation, she worked as an investigator with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where she became passionate about public defense. After working abroad with the Peace Corps, Hannah attended the University of Michigan for graduate school, graduating with both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Social Work with a focus on systems-level change and community organizing. Before joining the Nashville Defenders, Hannah interned with state and federal public defender offices in Detroit, Michigan, and Montgomery, Alabama.
