Katelyn Dorwart is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native who came to Nashville to work at the Public Defenders Office. Before deciding to move down south, Katelyn graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Philosophy, and minors in Political Science, History, The Classics and a certificate in Medieval Renaissance Studies.
After her B.A, Katelyn went straight into law school at the University of Pittsburgh. Katelyn graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2018 and was a research associate for the Law Library and worked at the Education Rights Clinic. Her passion for criminal defense started to grow when she interned at the Innocence Project and the Nashville Public Defenders Office.
Katelyn is proud to be a public defender in Nashville, supporting members of the community as they go through hard times.
