Kaylee Kohlmaier grew up outside of San Francisco, California, before moving to Nashville to pursue a B.A. at Vanderbilt University. After earning degrees in Political Science and Economics in 2018, she attended Emory University School of Law to pursue a J.D. and graduated with high honors in 2021. While in law school, Kaylee interned at the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office and served as an editor of the Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
Prior to joining the Nashville Defenders, Kaylee worked at a civil plaintiff’s firm, working mainly on consumer protection and sexual abuse cases.
