Nikol Litvan – Attorney

Nikol was born in Ukraine and moved to the United States at a young age, growing up in Pennsylvania. She attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she earned her undergraduate degree and developed a strong commitment to public service and justice.

Nikol went on to earn her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During her time there, she participated in the Innocence Project, Youth Justice Clinic, and Moot Court. These experiences deepened her dedication to advocating for the rights of others and ensuring fairness in the legal system.

Before joining the Metropolitan Nashville Public Defender’s Office, Nikol served as an Assistant Public Defender in North Carolina, where she further developed her passion for client-centered advocacy and criminal justice reform. At the Nashville Office, Nikol is passionate about providing zealous, compassionate representation to every client she serves.

Outside of work, Nikol enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her two dogs, Dodge and Maggie.
